Conservatives held a seat in Melton and gained two seats from Lincolnshire Independents in North Kesteven. Labour held a seat in Lancaster City and gained a seat in Cardiff from Heath & Birchgrove Independents. Greens held a seat in Thanet.

Conservatives held a seat in West Lancashire. Labour held a seat in Salford and gained a seat from an Independent in Rutland. Liberal Democrats held a seat in Huntingdonshire and gained seats from Conservatives both in Gloucester City and on West Sussex CC.
Conservatives held seats in Bolton, South Kesteven, South Staffordshire and Wrexham. Labour gained a seat in Carlisle City from UKIP and held a seat in Luton. An Independent gained a seat in South Kesteven from the Conservatives.
