In partnership with the Conservative Councillors’ Association and the Campaign Academy, Spring Conference will equip campaigners and councillors with the tools and support to lead winning campaigns.

You’ll hear keynote speeches from the Shadow Cabinet, MPs and senior conservatives, plus enjoy networking opportunities, social events and evening entertainment. The National Convention will also meet during the weekend.

The Roe Project (Stage 1) - Saturday, 16th of May 2026
The Roe Project is a public speaking training programme led by Dame Marion Roe with the support of a professional tutor.
The programme looks at how to deliver a presentation, making an impact and dealing with difficult questions.
Stage I courses are perfect for all members of the CCA, whether they are councillors, candidates, or Associate Members as they deal with skills and techniques that are important in both attendees’ professional and personal lives. There are only 16 places available per course so please book now to avoid disappointment.

The Roe Project (Stage 2) - Saturday, 20th of June 2026
Building on the skills identified in Stage I of the Public Speaking Course, the Stage II training course is the perfect follow-on for Stage I attendees.
The course will look at: The Power of Thought, Interviews, Debate/Public Meeting and Speech Preparation.
Providing enormously useful lessons and guidance on how best to manage yourself in your day-to-day life, both inside and outside of the Council Chamber, the course comes highly recommended from those members who have attended previously.
