Following this year’s local elections, the CCA and LGA Conservative Group have set up a meeting between Conservative Council Leaders and Eric Pickles MP, Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, and his DCLG team.Eric Pickles and Bob Neill will provide an overview of the latest policy developments, followed by sessions on more specific policy points.Venue The event is taking place on Friday 24th June in the Bevin Hall, LGA, London.
This year's Party Conference is being held on Sunday 2nd October to Wednesday 5th October in Manchester.The CCA are hosting two events at this year's Conference:The CCA Drinks Reception is being held on Sunday 2nd October from 9.30 - 11.00pm at The Midland Hotel.
The New Councillors' Training Day will be taking place on Friday 10th June at Coleshill Manor.The event is open to all Conservative councillors but is aimed at those who are newly elected. The day will consist of a series of presentations by those with a wide experience of local government. Speakers will include Alan Mabbutt, CCA Head of the Local Government Department, and Kerry Buist, CCA Local By-election Campaigner.
