Today, the CCA Chairman wrote to the Ukrainian Ambassador on behalf of the country’s Conservative Councillors to underline our support of Ukraine and its people in the face of the unprovoked, heinous, and catastrophic actions of the Russian Federation.

The results of this year's CCA Board elections were announced at this year's CCA AGM, which took place as part of the CCA Local Government Conference in Oxfordshire.
Chairman - Cllr Philip Broadhead, Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council
Deputy Chairman - Cllr Nick Jones, Bury Council

There were five by-elections this week.
Conservatives held seats in both East Lindsey and Selby (the councillor causing the by-election was originally elected as a Yorkshire Party candidate). Labour held two seats in Charnwood and another in East Lothian.
On Thursday 23rd December an Independent gained a seat from Conservatives in New Forest.
On Thursday 6th January Liberal Democrats gained a seat from Labour in Gedling.
