Local Government By-Election Results

Conservatives held a seat in North East Lincolnshire. They gained a seat in Newark & Sherwood from Independents and another in Oadby & Wigston from the Liberal Democrats.

Labour held a seat in Bristol and gained a seat from Independents in Allerdale. The Liberal Democrats gained a seat from Conservatives in North Northamptonshire.

The Green Party held a seat in Mid Suffolk and Independents held a seat in Nottinghamshire.

The count for a by-election which took place yesterday in West Devon has been delayed until Saturday due to the effects of storm Eunice.

Labour gained one seat from a Liberal Democrat (originally elected as Labour) in Greenwich.

Reform gained one seat from Labour in Swale.
