Planning for Campaign 2012

This event will be held at Coleshill Manor, Birmingham from 7pm to 9pm. The CCA is holding regional campaigning sessions for councillors and council candidates to help them prepare for Campaign 2012.  The training session will be looking at creating a council-wide plan, as well as individual campaign strategies.The evening will be led by Alan Mabbutt, Head of Local Government and Kerry Buist, Campaign Specialist.

Policy Briefing Session

4th October 2011
This free Policy Briefing Session, designed especially for Conservative councillors, will take place on Tuesday 4th October at 12.45pm in Manchester Central.  Members will be able to raise questions and discuss any concerns they may have with the parliamentary team including the Rt Hon Eric Pickles MP, Bob Neill MP and Grant Shapps MP.  The briefing session is now full.

CCA/Tesco Drinks Reception

2nd October 2011
The Local Government Reception at Party Conference will be held on Sunday 2nd October at 9.30pm in The Midland Hotel.  Tickets will be available to purchase in advance from mid-August or from the CCA stand.  A form to apply for tickets will appear here in due course and will also be enclosed with the August edition of Input.

Local Elections 2012

3rd May 2012
On Thursday 3rd May 2012, there will be 4722 seats up for election in England across 182 councils.On the same day there will be elections for all 32 Unitary Authorities in Scotland and for all 22 Unitary Authorities in Wales.The London Mayoral election and elections to the Greater London Authority will also be held on the same day.
