Post-Elections Group Leaders Day 14th June 2013 10.30am - 3.00pm The CCA and LGA Conservative Group have set up a meeting between Conservative Group Leaders and Eric Pickles MP, Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, and the DCLG Ministers at Local Government House. This is an opportunity for Group Leaders to raise any questions you may have, to learn more about local government plans for the next year, and to engage with your colleagues.
Public Speaking Course for Councillors - Stage II 12th April 2013 9.30am - 5.00pm Following feedback from Stage I of the public speaking courses, the CCA and the Roe Project have arranged a Stage II programme, which will only be open to those who have completed Stage I. This course will be held at CCHQ. This advanced programme will develop the skills learnt in Stage I and give participants the opportunity to apply them to a variety of scenarios faced by councillors, including a debate/public meeting, media interviews and giving a speech. The course costs £80 and includes lunch and refreshments throughout the day.
