Online Campaigning 1st November 2012 10.30am - 3.00pm This is a practical training day for those with elections in May 2013. The day will look at general online campaigning, editing your own website and using twitter. Group Leaders with elections in May 2013 are asked to send only one member from their group who in turn can teach the rest of the group ahead of May 2013. Attendees have a choice between 1st November (CCHQ London) or 27th November (Coleshill Manor Birmingham). The training costs just £5 and includes lunch.
Public Speaking Course for Councillors 19th October 2012 9.30 am The CCA is holding a Public Speaking Course for Councillors in conjunction with The Roe Project at CCHQ, London. The training course will look at how to deliver a presentation, how to make an impact and dealing with difficult questions. Attendance costs £80 which includes a sandwich lunch and refreshment breaks. The event is open to CCA members only.

New Councillors Training Day 22nd June 2012 10:30 am The training day will consist of a series of presentations by those with a wide experience of local government and the Conservative Party. There will be a Q&A session at the end of each presentation. Sessions include: understanding your council and your role as a cllr, dealing with the media, helping your constituents and setting up a social action project.
Post-Election Policy Seminar for Conservative Leaders 15th June 2012 10:30am Following this year’s local elections, the CCA and LGA Conservative Group have set up a meeting between Conservative Council Leaders and Bob Neill MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State, and Baroness Hanham, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State. This is an opportunity for you to raise any questions you may have, to learn more about local government plans for the next year, and to engage with your colleagues.
Local Elections 2012 3rd May 2012 On Thursday 3rd May 2012, there will be 4722 seats up for election in England across 182 councils. On the same day there will be elections for all 32 Unitary Authorities in Scotland and for all 22 Unitary Authorities in Wales. The London Mayoral election and elections to the Greater London Authority will also be held on the same day.
