Local Government By-Election Results

There were nine by-elections this week.

Congratulations go to Cllr Kevin Kirkham of High Peak Borough Council on his success in yesterday's by-election.

Conservatives gained a seat in High Peak from Labour. Labour gained a seat from an Independent in Wolverhampton, and held two seats in Liverpool and a further seat in Telford & Wrekin. Liberal Democrats gained a seat in Mid Devon from an Independent and gained another from Conservatives in the East Riding of Yorkshire. The Green Party gained a seat from Conservatives in Dorset and another in Horsham.

Conservatives gained one seat from Labour in Dudley.

Labour gained one seat from a Liberal Democrat (originally elected as Labour) in Greenwich.

Reform gained one seat from Labour in Swale.
