Over the past month the CCA team have held a number of events to highlight our new and enhanced offering of support for Party members considering becoming Conservative councillors.
The CCA collaborated with the CCHQ Outreach team to hold our “Ask Her to Stand… For Council” event. We were joined by a panel of leading female councillors who shared why they became councillors and their experiences in the role.
We have also jointly held an event with the Conservative Friends of India about becoming a councillor and how we can work together to promote diversity at local government level.
The CCA team hosted a session for associations so they could find out more about the support on offer through the CCA and the Conservative Disability Group. Our panellists also discussed the training and support they offer to members of their associations and their best practices.
