We were delighted to jointly host an event with the CCHQ Outreach team last night. We were joined by an amazing panel of leading female councillors and Association staff. Cllr Ayesha Azad, Cllr Heather Blurton, Lynne Fletcher and Cllr Maria Higson discussed why they stood as local government candidates, their experiences in the role and why they got more involved in the Party. Our panellists answered questions on a range of topics, including how to start getting involved, how they have been undertaking their casework during the pandemic and which committee they would recommend sitting on.
