Following feedback from Stage I of the public speaking course, the CCA and the Roe Project have arranged a Stage II programme to be held at CCHQ, London. The advanced programme will focus on interviews with the media; debating and public meetings; speech preparation, and chairmanship. Similar to Stage I there will be practical sessions throughout the day allowing you to put into practice what you have learnt.

We are delighted to confirm that the Rt Hon Eric Pickles MP and members of the DCLG Ministerial Team will once again be attending a policy briefing session for CCA members, kindly sponsored by the LGA Conservative Group.

The CCA will be holding once again by holding a Drinks Reception at Party Conference. This year it will be held on Sunday 28th September in Hall 9 at The ICC from 9.30pm to 11.00pm. Guests will be joined by the CCA Board and Cabinet Ministers. Tickets cost £10 for CCA Members and £12 for non-CCA members.

The CCA will be holding a New Councillors' Training Day for councillors elected or re-elected in 2014, including by-election winners. Sessions include understanding your Council and your role as a Councillor, Local Government Finance, Engaging with your Constituents and Social Action.
