There were twelve local government by-elections this week.
Conservatives gained one seat from the Green party in Derbyshire Dales.
Labour held seven seats: one seat each in Greenwich, Redbridge, and West Lothian, and two each in East Ayrshire and Telford & Wrekin.
Liberal Democrats gained two seats from Labour in Edinburgh, and West Oxfordshire, and held two seats in Milton Keynes.
